Protein Purification for Preclinical Trials

A company in the Nutraceutical field requested RPF services to purify an extracted natural protein for regulatory toxicology tests.

Approach: The protein having stability issues if left for too long under specific conditions, the RPF optimised a process at small scale that would meet those time constraints. Once the quality control (QC) was validated, the process was scaled up. Process documentation was developed and implemented for the client as part of the process development.

Outcome: The RPF team purified 150 grams of protein along with the required documentation necessary for the preclinical trials.
