About the Recombinant Products Facility

Proteins are studied and used in numerous research fields, and most biopharmaceuticals are proteins. As a leading Australian research university with particular strengths in biomolecular and biomedical sciences, the University of New South Wales hosts its own Recombinant Products Facility.

The facility was established in 2007 under the NCRIS scheme to provide access to industry and researchers to state of the art equipment and expertise in recombinant protein expression, production, purification and characterisation.

Our location

Our facility has recently moved to the new state of-the-art laboratories on Level 3 of the Biological Sciences building (North) D26.

The process

The Recombinant Products Facility aims to help researchers and industry fast track and scale up their projects at any stage of their protein production pipeline.
